The information system for assessment the
competences of the workforce by sectors and regions - MyCompetence, was
presented today by Velizar Petrov, Executive Director of the RDA BSC SMEs (Agency for Regional Development with
Business Center for Support of Small and Medium Enterprises) to young people
from UARD ( Higher School of Agribusiness and Regional Development).
The training was organized under the project
"MINERVA - Youth Employment for European Cultural Heritage", under
the Erasmus + program, sectoral program "Youth", key activity 2, and
was at the invitation of the colleagues from the higher education institution.
"- Why do you want such high salary after
you have no experience in the field?
- Well, because the work is much more
difficult when you do not know what you are doing! - Velizar Petrov began his
presentation with teasing.
"The Internet is a sea of information
and, in order to avoid being plunged into it, we must have the necessary
knowledge, skills and competencies to screen through the information we
need," he continued.
MyCompetence information system is one of the
useful informal tools for acquiring key knowledge, skills and competences,
including in the field of cultural heritage, and for reducing youth
unemployment. It has been identified as a good practice by the partnership
of the MINERVA - Youth Employment for European Cultural Heritage project.
"The information system for assessing the
competences of the workforce by industry and region is a specialized internet
platform, which is a useful tool in the work of human resource managers. It
serves for the processing of job data - a system providing a standardized
exchange of information and providing tools and other specialized services for
assessing the competence of the Bulgarian workforce. It is very important
for future young professionals, and with this training we are practically
keeping up with the requirement of higher education for duality - ie. to
have a direct connection between theory and practice, ”commented Velizar
Petrov.
