The Action Plan (2020-2021) of
Regional Development Agency with the Business Support Centre for Small and
Medium-sized Enterprises for Plovdiv Region has already been approved. It has
been developed within the framework of the project “STOB regions - Succession
and business transfer in the regions” under the Interreg Europe Programme.
It
includes three main activities supporting the transfer and succession of
business in Bulgaria since after creation and growth the business transfer is
the third crucial phase in its life cycle.
It is also
often forgotten that starting a new business is not the only way to start a
business. Every year thousands of existing small businesses closed as their
owners retire or seek new challenges, but cannot find someone to take over the
company. And ensuring a smooth transfer is a long and sometimes complicated
process that should be an integral part of the strategic planning
Existing
companies retain an average of five jobs, while startups create an average of
two jobs. In addition, the success rate of transfers is higher than that of
start-ups. With approximately 450,000 businesses providing 2 million jobs
transferred to the EU each year, Europe needs to facilitate business transfers
and develop more efficient support services
The Action
Plan (2020-2021) for the Plovdiv Region is approved by:
• Regional
Development Council of Plovdiv District
• Regional
Development Council of South Central Region
• Ministry
of Economy responsible for the National Strategy for Promotion of SMEs in Bulgaria
2014-2020
• The
Managing Authority of the INTERREG Europe Programme, which finances the project "STOB regions – Succession and Business Transfer in the Regions under the
INTERREG Europe Programme".
