STOB Regions Interregional Policy Learning workshop

STOB Regions Interregional Policy Learning workshop and peer review

June 8th - 9th 2022, Spain, Mallorca

Due to the current challenges posed by the pandemic and now the upheavals caused by the war in Ukraine, the topic of business succession has been pushed into the background. We have already held a digital workshop on this and had the following key findings, which serve as the basis for this workshop.

·        The workshop showed a diversity in the weighting of the individual topic, as the partner regions have strong sectoral dependencies, which were accordingly affected differently by the pandemic.

·        Likewise, it became apparent that there were strong differences in the application of tools and support services.

The underlying theme is to bring the challenge of business succession, identified by the digital workshop, back on the agenda. In many regions, the topic of business succession/transfer has been pushed into the background due to the pandemic and the current war. The workshop now identified elements for each region in order to re-prioritize the topic.

To this end, we have developed the following assignment for each partner-region to individually prepare:

1.) A brief overview of which topic is most affected in terms of business succession in your region.

2.) Identify at least 3 good practices that could help to prioritize the topic of business succession.

3.) Develop a rough (action) plan on how to implement (re-)prioritizing business succession in your region.

4.) Presentation the brief overview, identified good practices and your rough plan in a digital presentation on workshop day one. 20 minutes per partner are allocated for this.

A detailed presentation on the recap of the last workshop can be found in the extended documentation
