The Regional Development Agency with the
Business Support Centre for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises held a
conference on the PRO-ENERGY project: Promoting energy efficiency in public
buildings on the territory of the Balkans - Mediterranean Territory.
It was held on October 25, 2022, in the
"Paris" Hall of the Grand Hotel Plovdiv.
Participants in the conference were
representatives of regional and municipal administrations, universities, and
other public institutions.
Mrs Ivanka Petkova - deputy regional governor
of the Plovdiv region, Prof. Dr. Mariyana Yordanova Ivanova - rector of the
University of Agribusiness and Rural Development - Plovdiv, Alexander Tonkov -
chairman of the Board of Directors of Regional Development Agency with Business
Support Centre for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises – Plovdiv opened the
conference and welcomed the participants
Eng.-manager Velizar Petrov – Executive
Director and member of the Board of Directors of Regional Development Agency
with Business Support Centre for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises - Plovdiv
presented the project, its goals and activities, the pilot building in Bulgaria
under the project - the building of UARD (University of Agribusiness and Rural
Development- honorary member of RED BSC SMEs). The building was inspected and
measures to improve energy efficiency were prescribed. It was certified and
equipped with special smart sensors connected to an internet-based platform
that includes the pilot buildings of all project partners.
