NEW BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES WITH DRAGGING

First multiplier event under the DRAGGING project – ENTREPRENEURSHIP WITH THE PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION

New business opportunities are offered by the DRAGGING project of the Regional Development Agency with the Business Center for the Support of Small and Medium Enterprises (RDABSCSMEs). It is aimed at non-governmental organizations, people at risk of exclusion, local and regional public authorities.

The project seeks to reduce the gap between the local administration and NGOs, to build a bank of business opportunities, to create added value in the social sector through an innovative methodology, facilitating the generation of a toolkit for the economic viability of NGOs, improving their relationship with the administration in the new context of public procurement.

This became clear during the first multiplication event under the DRAGGING project, organized by RDABSCSMEs, which took place on December 18 in the building of the regional administration in front of over 40 representatives of regional and municipal administrations, public institutions, non-governmental organizations, people at risk of exclusion and etc.  Eng. Velizar Petrov, executive director of RDABSCSMEs, and manager of the DRAGGING project, presented the project and one of its main products at the business ideas market.

"One of the fundamental human rights is the right to work! That is why, through the project, we enable people from vulnerable groups to benefit and exercise this right," he said. "In addition to the multitude of validated business ideas, part of the online platform "BUSINESS-IDEAS MARKET", representatives of the target groups can benefit from the mentoring program, as well as information and training materials, including those related to the specifics of work with public procurement and the relevant legal regulation.

An online training course will also be developed by the end of the project, which will provide additional knowledge to those wishing to create their own business, partnering with local and regional public authorities.
