On 11.06.2024 in the Regional Administration - Plovdiv, to the members of the Permanent Employment Commission of the Regional Development Council of the Plovdiv region, a project "MYSTICAL DANUBE – GREEN AND MYSTICAL DANUBE ROUTE FOR STORYTELLING: Transnational valorisation of natural and intangible cultural heritage for socio-economic development of rural areas in the Danube region“ was presented.

The project creates opportunities for integrated actions to promote unemployment among vulnerable groups in underdeveloped rural areas. In this way, it fulfils one of its goals - "Increasing economic development, social inclusion and social innovation in the area of ​​the Danube region program by involving the local community in the creation of a new thematic tourist route".

The activities of the project are successfully integrated with the other topics discussed during the present meeting of the Permanent Commission on Employment – "Regional Employment Program of the Plovdiv Region 2024" and the related "Methodology for evaluation and selection of project proposals for inclusion in Regional employment program", as well as with the study of employers' labour needs in the Plovdiv region for 2024, in accordance with the Employment Promotion Act and the Regulations for its implementation.

The Bulgarian partner in the project is RDA BSC SME (Regional Development Agency with a Business Support Center for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises – Plovdiv) and associate partner – Regional Administration – Plovdiv.

Nearly 50 representatives of the Plovdiv Regional Administration; of the municipalities of Plovdiv region – Sadovo, Brezovo, Krichim, Karlovo, Sadovo, Lucky, Kaloyanovo, Kuklen, Sopot, Parvomai; Directorates "Bureau of Labor" Maritsa, Plovdiv, Rodopi, Parvomai, Karlovo, Asenovgrad; the nationally represented employers' organizations and trade unions participated. Representatives of RDA BSC SME also took part, as a regular member of the Permanent Committee on Employment at the Regional Development Council of Plovdiv Region.
