On 20.11.2024. at the Regional Administration - Plovdiv, during a joint meeting of the Standing Committee on Social Policy of the Regional Development Council of Plovdiv Region and the Regional Council for the Rights of People with Disabilities of Plovdiv Region, the project "Mystical Danube - GREEN AND MYSTIC DANUBE ROUTE FOR TELLING STORIES: Transnational valorization of natural and intangible cultural heritage for socio-economic development of rural areas in the Danube Region" was presented.

The project creates opportunities for integrated actions to promote unemployment among vulnerable groups in underdeveloped rural areas. In this way, it achieves one of its objectives - "Increasing economic development, social inclusion and social innovation in the Danube Region program area by involving the local community in the creation of a new thematic tourist route".

The Bulgarian partner in the project is RDA BSC SME (Regional Development Agency with Business Support Center for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises – Plovdiv) and associated partner – Regional Administration – Plovdiv.

Nearly 50 representatives of the Plovdiv Regional Administration participated; of the municipalities of Plovdiv District – Sadovo, Brezovo, Krichim, Karlovo, Sadovo, Lucky, Kaloyanovo, Kuklen, Sopot, Parvomay; of the Directorates of the Labor Bureau Maritsa, Plovdiv, Rodopi, Parvomay, Karlovo, Asenovgrad; of the nationally represented employer organizations and trade unions, as well as members of the District Council for the Rights of People with Disabilities from Plovdiv District. Representatives of ARR with BC for SME Plovdiv, as a regular member of the Standing Commission on Employment of the District Council for the Development of Plovdiv District, also participated.
