Mystical Danube Project Partner and Steering Committee Meeting held in Budapest

The Mystical Danube Partners and Steering Committee meeting was held in Budapest on February 26-27, 2025, organized by CEEweb. The partners discussed the project's progress, challenges, and future activities.

The meeting opened with introductory speeches from the Lead Partner, AGRRA, the Danube Programme Managing Authority/Joint Secretariat, and CEEweb, followed by presentations of key project results and a financial overview. Project partners shared their experiences, key achievements, and discussed the next steps. On the second day, Associated Strategic Partners and relevant stakeholders joined the discussions, focusing on developing the Strategy for the Valorization of Natural and Intangible Cultural Heritage in Rural, Less Visited Areas.

The Mystical Danube Project aims to promote tourism, economic growth, and social inclusion in the Danube region by valorizing its natural and cultural heritage. It focuses on rural and less-visited areas affected by unemployment and social exclusion, especially among vulnerable groups. Through transnational cooperation, the project is developing the "Green and Mystical Danube Storytelling Route," which will showcase local stories and traditions while engaging communities in tourism services. A mobile app will highlight the route, its locations, and available services, with contact points set up at pilot sites.

This project is supported by the Interreg Danube Region Programme, co-funded by the European Union.
