Regional development agency with Business support centre for small and medium-sized enterprises -
Plovdiv (RDA BSC SMEs) celebrates the completion of a successfully accomplished
internship programme lasted three full months. The Agency’s authentic appeal as
a prominent regional development organization which cares for the needs of the
local community attracted two young postgraduates studying in Rome and
searching for career prospects.
The internship programme took in a
contemporary set of activities integrated into a flexible schedule engaging the
students with the real world of business environment. The main focus was put on
European programmes which are central in the current work of the Agency.
National Operational programmes, Erasmus + and Horizon 2020 were introduced and
deeply studied. Various socio-economic issues such as NEETS, SME’s growth and
innovation, non-formal and informal methods of learning, “youth in action” and green infrastructure were contemplated. The two postgraduates were tasked to acquaint
themselves with European project guides and employ diverse managerial tools to
structure the main aspects and priorities laid out therein. Moreover, the
interns were given the job of brainstorming ideas applicable to the goals of the
projects, doing researches, addressing main problems set out in the European
agenda and working out solutions. During working hours, the two students
attended public events on behalf of the agency and reported their impressions
and experience.
