In
implementation of the project "INSiGHTS - INtegrated Slow, Green and
Healthy Tourism Strategies" under the Programme for transnational
cooperation "Danube" 2014-2020 in November 2018 in Komarno, Slovakia were
held the seventh thematic meeting and 5 meeting of the project Steering
committee.
During
the thematic meeting, we discussed the work on integrated strategies for slow,
green and healthy tourism, and what was done during the stakeholder meetings.
We commented on sub-models of sustainable marketing and promotion in tourism,
intelligent methods and tools for sustainable supply coordination, integrated
management systems, and the combination of them.
We evaluated
existing policies and strategic documents in the partner countries in terms of
tourism. We presented what has been achieved and planned in the pilot
activities of the project. The host organization, Pons Danubii, who is the lead
partner of the project, showed 3D-visualization and an interactive virtual tour
of the Komárno fortress wall.
We
crossed the "border" between Slovakia and Hungary, located in the
middle of the connecting bridge. We saw how nature is preserved, and instead of
cutting down the trees that grow on both sides of the road, there are signs to
narrow down the road, and that did not particularly hinder the drivers.
