On December 17,
2018 in Haskovo representatives of ministries, regional and municipal
administrations, employers' organizations, scientific institutions, managing
authorities of the operational programs, media, etc. were presented the
progress of the INSiGHTS - Integrated strategies for slow, green and Healthy
Tourism funded by the Danube Transnational Cooperation Program 2014-2020 by
Velizar Petrov - Executive Director of ARR BSC SME (Regional
Development Agency with Business Support Centre for Small and
Medium Enterprises - Plovdiv).
An
Integrated Strategy for Slow, Green and Healthy Tourism for Plovdiv Region is
to be adopted. The vision of the strategy was adopted in previous periods.
During the workshop, a Concept of a Tourist Route for Slow, Green and Healthy
Tourism and discussion on the topic were done, as well as working suggestions
for tourist routes in Plovdiv. All discussions are considered as the basis for
the optimal implementation of the pilot activities - establishment and
operation of tourist information center, development of tourist routes for
Plovdiv and development of training and information materials for them.
A discussion
on the subject went on later in informal conversations during the organized
cocktail.
